The layout above represents the attraction. The light green circle will be underneath the theaters, and that’s where the Animatronic Scenes will be stored. Then, the gray circles represent the four theaters where the guests will be able to experience the B-Movies. Each of the theaters holds 60 guests and is designed to resemble a movie theater, with red walls, black seats, and a fake movie screen in the front. Meanwhile, the gray area is the stage, where the show will take place after the fake screen is removed, and the black circle is where the show scenes will be once they’re lifted into the stage. On the other hand, the blue area is where the seats, and the motion simulation platform is located. And finally, on the back is where the finale scene of the show is stored.

One of the innovations that this brand new E-Ticket show will bring to the table is the development of a technology similar to Dynamic Attractions’ Motion Theater. The guests' seats will be located above a platform that will simulate movement and rotate, among other stuff, so the guests feel immersed in the environment presented in each of the B-Movies. For example, if one of the movies takes place in the middle of the ocean, the platform will move accordingly to simulate the movement of the waves; additional special effects would be used to simulate the breeze and splashes of water.

Additionally, the stage where the show takes place will also have some limited movement to match the motion simulation of the seats in specific circumstances. And like Mickey’s Philharmagic at Magic Kingdom, the walls of the theater will have a screen integrated to make it match the atmosphere and in some cases the environment of the B-Movies.

As previously mentioned, the AA scenes will move from one theater to the other using a rotating system that is placed under the theaters. It will work as an inverse Carrousel of Progress, instead of the theaters moving, the scenes will rotate, and then they’ll be elevated into the stage as seen in the visual representation above. However, some Animatronics will be stored elsewhere, for example, giant spider legs will be stored in the roof of the stage and the finale of the show will be stored in the back of the theater. Also, screens will be used in the back of the stage to project the appropriate environment to each of the B-Movies, which will help enhance the experience for the guests.

Queue

After making their way through an outdoor extended queue (which can extend into the Fantasmic queue area if necessary and available), guests approach a Los Angeles multiplex. The building itself is gray and rectangular, with brown faux wood surrounding the entry doors. At eye level, the walls are adorned with posters for Cecilia’s various B-movies. The top corners of the building have large posters bearing the attraction’s logo. Above the doors is a movie theater marquee, the kind that’s white with slots for black letters forming the titles to be placed. It reads, “NOW PLAYING: ATTACK! OF THE B-MOVIE” The front doors have a Moran Productions Theaters logo embedded in the glass.

Guests go inside and enter a decently sized lobby. It has a color scheme of pinks and greens, with some greys too. On one side of the lobby is an unstaffed concession stand (a sign on the counter reads “Will return at some point”) equipped to sell typical moviegoing snacks: popcorn, hotdogs, candy, steak, etc. Among the switchbacks of the queue are props in glass cases. These props are from (fictional) B-movies, like the can of beans from It Came on Trash Day, the circus tent-colored jetpack from Sky Pie-rates, and the Dalmatian puppet from The Lugubrious Luncheon. Every five minutes or so, a voice is heard over the speaker system sharing trivia about these movies. For instance, “In the 1987 cult classic, Why Would You Do That?! actress Linda Owenmichael’s fearful reaction to the LizardHorse’s appearance was real: she had no idea beforehand what the creature would look like, or that there even would be a creature in the film!” Above the doors to the preshow, an electronic display that would normally say which auditorium has which movie instead reads “All theaters booked for special event.” At last, guests proceed into the preshow.

Pre-Show

Guests will be greeted into a room where a large monitor shows the logo for Moran Productions. For the sake of space, there will be four rooms for each of the four theatres guests will be in. Once everyone is settled into the room, the pre-show begins.

“Hello! I am Cecilia Moran and welcome to the Moran Productions Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You will get to experience a new type of movie-going with our version of a motion theater. Viewers here will be able to experience the wonder of my movies with amazing effects.

You see, when I was a little girl, I loved watching movies and was always inspired by the visuals on screen. It felt alive to me! So when I got my very first camera, which I used to film these 8 movies, I never put it down. There is just something about my camera that makes the world around me feel so alive. That is why here at Moran Productions, our motto is “We Make Movies Feel Alive”.

The 8 movies you will be seeing today will be small, exclusive snippets before they release everywhere in a few weeks. These movies are very special as they represent my favorite movie genre: B-Movies. You are probably thinking: What are B-Movies? Well, they are movies that are meant to be low-budget but still offer that thrill and fun with other movies. While other B-Movies might be meant to scare you, mine will just give you a taste of suspense with lots of fun being added in.”

As Cecilia continues talking, a person behind her comes out of a screening room saying that Bigfoot is alive. Her assistant comes out of the room as well.

“Ma’am, we have a huge problem. The movies are alive! This could endanger our new theater opening in Florida soon!”

Cecilia stares at her and then back at the camera.

“Well, they don’t have to know about that! Turn the camera off. Now, now!”

As the screen goes back to the Moran Productions logo, the doors open to the theater where the new movies are about to come to life.
